Teeth Whitener
Salt and baking soda are gentle abrasives that can help whiten teeth and remove stains. Salt is also a natural source of fluoride, which is beneficial to your teeth and gums. Simply combine one teaspoon of salt with two teaspoons of baking soda and try it. Brush your teeth normally after dipping a damp toothbrush into the mixture. Put a dab of toothpaste on the brush before dipping it into the mixture if the flavor is too strong.
Nail Whitening
Salt softens and strengthens the cuticles and skin, as well as the nails. For lighter, healthier-looking nails, use baking soda and lemon to reduce yellowing and stains. Try it out for yourself: In a small bowl, combine one teaspoon salt, one teaspoon baking soda, one teaspoon lemon juice, and half a cup of warm water. Soak the nails for 10 minutes in the solution, then scrub with a soft brush. Rinse your hands thoroughly after exposing them to the sun, as the lemon can irritate your skin.
