Malachi had a sudden realization about something. Who would be so invested in finding a lost personal item that they would become frustrated when they don’t receive answers to their questions? The owner, as one would expect! But Malachi needed to have absolute certainty. He had to check whether the man’s face was on the identification card that had been left in the wallet.

Grabbing His Wallet
Malachi made a deliberate motion toward his pocket and pulled out the wallet. Malachi wasn’t willing to part with the wallet just yet, even though he saw the man’s eyes light up when he saw the wallet. Therefore, he removed the identification card from the wallet, brought it up to the man’s face, and held it there.
