The judge seemed to be able to see right through miss Smith. She was able to read people in this situation because she had dealt with numerous incidents similar to this before. She slightly leaned over her desk before looking Miss Smith in the eyes. “Are you sure?”

Miss Smith shook a little bit at the questioning, but Ava was unfazed. As the session began, she didn’t really believe it was possible to feel like the judge was in her corner, but after this exchange, she did.
