A Direct Question
“Will you allow Ava to search for her parents post-adoptively? All voices in the courtroom ceased to speak. “Her parents?” Mr. Smith responded, perplexed. Now, Ava’s curiosity was piqued. “Even Ava herself has never met her parents. They cold-heartedly left her, as a newborn baby, all alone in front of a hospital.”
Supporting Ava
The judge gave Mr. Smith a serious look as he did so. “Answer the question, mister Smith,” she said stern look on her face. “Of course, we’ll allow her,” Miss Smith answered instantly, putting her hand on her husband’s arm in a relaxed position. “If she ever wants to search for them, we’ll support her.”
